[Product Options app] What's new in the app version 2.0?

The latest version of our product has some exciting updates that we believe will benefit our users. Here is a rundown of these updates and what users need to consider before making the switch.

Please contact to our support team via the Live Chat in app once you decide to upgrade your app version. We will need to have a closer check on your store and your current usage to make sure a seamless transition with as little disruption as possible.

1. New flow to create and publish options



New optimized app flow will help merchants create multiple options and apply to desired products in minutes with:

No asset category (including: Images, Colors, Fonts & Choices) needed
Minimum numbers of steps to create options.

2. Free to use



Teeinblue Product Options 2.0 is FREE and will provide access to all the available features without any limitation on the number of published product options.
All paid plans in app version 2.0 will be temporarily paused and will be reintroduced in due course.



3. Features



a. New feature - Add-on products:


Add charge to option by linking with Shopify product variants and its price to create additional charge when the option value is selected.
The selected variant will be added the cart along with the main product to increase total cost.

There will be no customization additional charge (unit product) added to cart in version 2.0 compare to how it worked in version 1.0

b. Live Preview will not be available yet:


In version 2.0 Live Preview feature will be temporarily unavailable in an effort to improve app performance. Rest assured, we will be providing more information whenever this feature is back in due course

Some "need to know" considerations before upgrading app version



1. We recommend merchants can upgrade to version 2.0 if:


You have no live preview campaigns.
You already have live preview campaigns but you don't plan to create new campaigns with live preview.

2. What will merchants need to do if they choose to upgrade?


In order to make sure that you won't be charged in the next circle and enjoy free app version, if merchants are in paid plan, you will need to downgrade to the free plan before switching to the new app version. This will require merchants to unpublish some campaigns. After you switched to the app version 2.0, you will be able to create and publish unlimited number of product options.

3. After merchants switched successfully to version 2.0:


The current published campaigns from version 1.0 will still remain the same.
The app interface will be completely replaced by the version 2.0 where merchants can create and publish new option set there.
Merchants will be able to access version 1.0, however, it only allows merchants to edit the old campaigns or templates.
All settings in the Settings page will apply to product options both versions

4. What if merchants choose to stay with TPO version 1.0?


If you choose to stay with version 1.0, you can still use all available features with your current plan as usual. However, we have decided to discontinue accepting any custom requests for version 1.0 in order to prioritize the development for TPO 2.0
