Allow Etsy buyers to submit Customization multiple times (based on Quantity)
When Etsy buyers purchase more than one item of the same variant, Etsy treats it as one line item in the order, and only changes the quantity accordingly.
Teeinblue could only generate one customization link per order item. And previously, buyers could personalize only one time — even if they bought several.
✨ Solutions
The old solution:
- Etsy will treat the cart items as separate items when the "Personalization" field are different
- You can write instructions for buyers to know that if they want to personalize each item separately, they should enter a unique index to the Personalization field before adding the item to cart
- Then Etsy will save the order as different items, and Teeinblue can generate corresponding customization URLs for each item. Buyers can then personalize and submit customization in each link.
The new way:
Now, Teeinblue offers a feature to let buyers submit personalization multiple times based on the **quantity **(via the same customization URL).
This means:
- If a buyer purchases 2 or more of the same variant (e.g. 2 mugs), they can now personalize and submit customization 2 times.
- Teeinblue will generate 2 designs for the same order item.

⚙️ How to Enable in Teeinblue Portal
- Login to your Etsy store in Teeinblue → Store Settings → General settings → Multiple submissions for Etsy orders
- Toggle on Allow submitting customization multiple times based on quantity
- You can edit the text shown to buyers in Product Page Content → Customization submit response messages
🛍 How It Works for Buyers
When buyers open their customization link:
- The personalization form displays a quantity index, e.g. “1/2”.
- After submitting the first design, a message appears with a NEXT button to personalize the next design.
- Buyers can repeat the process until they’ve submitted all customizations equal to the order quantity.
📦 Managing Customizations & Fulfillment
After you enable this "Multiple submissions" feature, you'll see a change in your Orders page if an Etsy order item has multiple quantities:
- Teeinblue will display the same number of customization lines equal to the quantity, each contains different designs that buyers submitted.
- If a buyer hasn’t submitted a design yet, that customization line will show the status “Missing.”
When there's a missing customization, you can:
- Re-send the customization URL to the buyers so they can finish their remaining designs.
- Or, if your buyer wants to use the same design for all quantities, you can click “Reuse other customization” to duplicate an existing design.
🔄 Fulfillment Rules
When this feature is enabled:
- The order must have a completed design for every quantity before you can send it to fulfillment.
- If any customizations are missing, Teeinblue will show a warning and block fulfillment.
When sending to fulfillment:
- Teeinblue automatically splits the order item into multiple items, each with its own design, ensuring every piece is printed correctly.
