Selling "Pack" Products (Ornaments or Photo Stickers)

Introduction

Selling products in bundles (e.g., a 5-pack of ornaments or a 3-sticker pack) may require customers to personalize multiple items on a single product page. This guide explains how to link a pack variant to multiple Print Areas so customers can customize each item in their bundle at once.

The goal of this setup is to ensure that each variant generates the correct number of design files for the selected pack size.

For example, when a customer selects the Pack of 3 variant, they are allowed to personalize 3 separate items. Once the order is placed, the system generates 3 individual design files, one for each item. This setup allows you to sell products in bundles while keeping each item's personalization and production file separate.

How to set it up?

1. Creating Product Base

  1. Define Print Areas:

Set up your Print Areas based on the maximum number of items in a pack for the variants you want to sell. For example, for a 3-pack of photo stickers, create three Print Areas: Pack 1, Pack 2, and Pack 3.

  1. Map Variants to Print Areas:
  • Create your pack variants (e.g., Pack of 1, Pack of 2, and Pack of 3).
  • Enable Custom variant's printarea.
  • In the Custom Printareas column, click the field and select the relevant Print Areas from the dropdown for each variant.

For example, if you sell a 3-pack of ornaments, link the Pack of 3 variant to three Print Areas: Pack 1, Pack 2, and Pack 3. Customers can then personalize all three items on the same product page.

2. Creating Artworks

For this 3-pack sticker example, you need 3 separate Artworks, one for each Print Area.

  • Efficiency: Create your first Artwork, then use the Duplicate function to quickly create the other two.
  • Naming: Rename each Artwork after duplicating it (e.g., Pack 1, Pack 2, and Pack 3). Clear, consistent names make it easier to assign each Artwork to the correct Print Area in the Campaign Editor.

3. Creating Campaign

  • Create a new Campaign and select the Product Base you created for the bundle.
  • In the Campaign Editor, assign the corresponding Artwork to each Print Area.
  • Once you've finished configuring the settings, launch your Campaign.

In the Campaign Editor, you can assign only one Artwork to each Print Area. However, as long as the variants are mapped to the correct Print Areas in the Product Base, Teeinblue will handle the grouping automatically. When a customer selects a variant on the storefront, the system identifies all Print Areas connected to that variant and displays the corresponding Artworks. You don't need to manually group multiple Artworks into a single Print Area.

Storefront Logic and Fulfillment

The SDK handles multiple Print Area connections to ensure that the Live Preview and Order Design files are correctly generated.

  • On the Storefront: The system automatically identifies all Print Areas connected to the selected variant and displays their corresponding Artwork layers.

  • On the Order Details Page: Each connected Print Area generates its own high-resolution design file. .

Example: If a variant is connected to the Pack 1 and Pack 2 Print Areas, two high-resolution design files will be available in the order details: one for Pack 1 and one for Pack 2.
