How to Set Up Vertical Canvas Products with Horizontal Print Areas?

When importing a Canvas product from a fulfillment provider, you may notice that all available Print Areas are in horizontal orientation. Don't worry! You can still create and sell vertical Canvas products without modifying the default Print Areas.

In this article, we'll use a product from merchOne as an example. The same method can also be applied to products from other fulfillment providers.

You can see that default Print Areas are horizontal. Do not worry, you will still able to set up and sell vertical Canvas with these Printareas. Please continue reading to find out more.

Important: Do not modify the default Print Areas in any way. Changing them prevents Teeinblue from sending orders to your fulfillment provider properly.

Step 1. Locating Artwork for the Vertical Canvas

Let's say you have an imported product with a default Print Area measuring 10 × 8 inches in horizontal orientation. To create a vertical Canvas, create an Artwork measuring 8 × 10 inches.

Once your Artwork is ready, add it to your Campaign and use the Locate Artwork feature to rotate it by 90 degrees so that it fits the default horizontal Print Area.

Step 2. Setting up the Mockup Image

After rotating the Artwork by 90 degrees, the design will also appear rotated when you add the Print Area to your Mockup Image.

To display the product correctly, rotate the Mockup Image by 90 degrees in the opposite direction, following a similar process to Step 1.

Once you've adjusted the Mockup Image, the product should display in the correct vertical size on your Storefront.

Don't worry, the Customers can simply rotate the Canvas and hang it!
