Share option with another layer

This feature can link multiple layers with one personalization option, so customers just need to personalize once and it'll apply to many layers.
This feature is very helpful for selling pattern design, or mug with the same left and right design...

Multiple layers share the same option

Text layers share the same option

You can do it with the Share with another layer option in Artwork editor.

For multiple Layers

Step 1: Create source Layers

Create source layers like you usually do. It's important to make sure you have done all the necessary settings for these layers first.

Step 2: Duplicating the Layers

You can quickly select all Layers, and click on the Duplicate and share options on the action bar

All of these Layers will then be automatically duplicated and set their shared option settings based on the original layers

For Images:

Step 1: Create a source Layer

Create a layer in Artwork editor, and set up an personalization option for it.

Set up a personalization option for the source layer

Step 2: Create a shared Layer

Duplicate the source layer or create a new layer.

Create a new layer

The new layers should have the same ratio with the source layer to avoid unexpected issues.

Edit the new layer → in Personalization Options, select Share with another layer

Select "Share with another layer"

The "Shared option settings" group will show up below.

Choose the option of the source layer to use it for this layer as well.

Choose the option of the source layer

Now the shared layer shares the same personalization option, and also conditional settings with the source layer.

If the source layer has a repositioned clipart category, the shared layer also has a repositioned clipart category based on the ratio between the source layer and the repositioned clipart.

You can also quickly create a duplicated layer by clicking on the Duplicate & Share options on the action bar

For Text layer:

Step 1: Create a source Text

Add a new text in Artwork editor and change its properties (font, color...).
In General > Text option: select "Create a new option" to add a new personalization option for this text

Create a new option for the source Text

Set up personalization options for this source text

Step 2: Create a shared Text

Duplicate the text layer or create a new text.

Create a new text

You can set up different text properties for this new text (font, size, color, auto scale...).

Share option only works for personalization (change text, text background, change font, change color…).

In General > Text option: select Share with another layer

Select "Share with another layer"

The "Shared option settings" group will show up below.

Choose the option of the source text to use it for this text as well.

Choose the option of the source text

Now the new text shares the same personalization option and also the conditional settings with the source text.

To make the feature “Allow customers to change Font” work on all shared texts, they must have the same font type (google font or custom font).

You can also quickly create a duplicated layer by clicking on the Duplicate & Share options on the action bar
