In-depth guide of Global Template feature
WHAT IS GLOBAL TEMPLATE?
Have you ever needed to make a small change to an element in an Artwork with multiple Templates (i.e number of dogs), only to find yourself spending a lot of time updating that element in every other Templates?
For examples:
- You want to change the clipart category of a
Dog breed #1
layer in all templates: before you had to do it in every templates, which can be very time-consuming.
- Or you want to re-order the personalization options: before you had to re-order in every templates:
To address that issue, Teeinblue has released a new feature to help reduce the time and efforts when making a modification. From now on, if you need to make changes to a personalization, you only need to change in your Global Template
, and they will be automatically applied to all other Templates. 🥳
HOW TO USE GLOBAL TEMPLATE?
You can watch a quick tutorial video here:

STEP ONE. Creating your Global Template.
Let's start with creating your first Template.
In general, you should always create a Template with the most number of layers (in this case, the number of dogs). This template will then be used as a master-template. From now on, every changes related to the personalization options you make should be from this Template only.
STEP TWO. Converting a Template to Global Template

These newly-created Templates are called Local Template
. And you will see it has all the layers similar to the Global Template

STEP FOUR. Making changes to your Local Template
Now you have got your Local Template
, you can make changes to it according to the number of dogs -- in this case, it is 2.
Local Template

, you can still make changes to the design individually! We will explain more on this at the last section of this Article.Keep doing so until you reach one number of dog template!
Once you're done, it should look like the following image:
What can be synced between Global Template and Local Template and what cannot?
Even though customizations option are shared and bound to your Global Template
