Word Cloud feature

The Word Cloud feature lets you turn multiple words into a visually arranged design within a predefined or custom shape. Buyers can enter their own words, and Teeinblue automatically generates the layout based on your settings, including the font, size, direction, and color of the words.This feature is available only in Artwork 2.0.

Please continue reading this article to learn how to set up this feature on your store.

Create a Word Cloud layer

  • In your Artwork Editor, click the + Layer button. Under Select a layer type, in the PUZZLES group, choose Word Cloud.

Word Cloud settings

Default words (only for preview):

You can enter the Default words that should appear in the Word Cloud before the customer provides their input. And separate each word with a comma.

The Default words are for preview purposes only. They will not be rendered in the final design.

Regenerate layout:

If the current arrangement doesn't suit your needs, click Regenerate layout to create a new arrangement. The words, shape, and colors will stay the same. Only the way the words are packed within the shape will change.

The same button appears on your storefront so your customer can shuffle their own layout.

Number of words:

This determines how many word instances are arranged within the shape. It is not the number of characters your customer can enter. For example: If your customer enters 12 names and the Number of words is set to 200, each name will be repeated approximately 16 times to fill the shape.

You can set up a maximum of 999 words. A higher number creates a denser word cloud.

Enable custom shape:

  • Shape source: You can choose how the Word Cloud fills its shape:
  1. Use pre-designed shapes: Select one of the shapes provided by Teeinblue.
  2. Upload your own shape: Upload a custom image and the words are arranged within this outline. The current supported formats are PNG, WebP, and SVG. The outline is what Teeinblue fills with words, so a simple, high-contrast shape gives the best result.

  • Use shape's color

When enabled, each word takes its color from the area of the shape where it is placed, so the Word Cloud inherits the shape's color scheme.

If this option is disabled, all words use the solid Text color in the toolbar.

Text settings:

  • Font Style: We support Multiple Fonts for the Word Cloud feature. You can add as many fonts as you need by manually selecting each font or using a pre-created Font Category.

  • Font size: You can configure the Min font size and Max font size displayed in the Word Cloud shape according to your needs.

Personalization settings

You can configure how buyers enter their words through this section.

Personalization for this layer:

Choose how the Word Cloud receives the buyer's input:

  • No personalization: The design is fixed, and the Default words are printed as-is.
  • Create a new option: Add an option where buyers can enter their own words.
  • Use an existing global option: Reuse an existing Global Option.

Input style:

Choose how the buyer's input should be handled:

  • Single field: One text box for all values. Customers can separate words using spaces or commas.

  • Multiple fields: one box per word, with an + Add more button. This is more convenient when you want to allow customers to enter names with spaces between them. For example: Qi Ki Fy.

For more information about the other settings in Personalization Settings, please refer to the relevant Teeinblue personalization guides, such as Text Personalization.

Creating your Campaign

Once you’ve finished creating your Artwork, add it to your campaign as usual. Then, kindly make sure to check your storefront then to make sure all is good.

Important Notes

  • Words can be displayed at , 90°, or 270°. They will not be displayed at 180°;
  • If Enable custom shape is disabled, the words fills the rectangular container of the Word Cloud layer instead;
  • Keep Number of words higher than Max words. Otherwise there are not enough slots to show every word your customer typed, and some of their words may be dropped from the design;
  • The higher the Number of words and the more fonts you use, the longer it will take to render the preview;
  • Populate Values and Global Option support for this feature is coming soon.
