Color Sequence feature

Color Sequence feature lets each character in a buyer's text show a different color, following a color sequence that you set. You choose the color order, so the result is not random. The buyer types their text and each letter takes the next color in your sequence.

Color Sequence feature works with Single-line Text, Curve Text, and Warp Text. Paragraph Text and Spiral Text are not supported yet.

HOW TO SETUP COLOR SEQUENCE FEATURE

Decide first how many color sequences you want to offer:

  • One fixed sequence — every buyer gets the same color order. Follow Option A.
  • Multiple sequences — buyers can switch between the color orders you provide. Follow Option B.

Option A. One fixed color sequence

This is the sequence every buyer sees, and they cannot change it.

  • Open the Text layer and go to the Font Color settings on the tool bar. The color picker has two tabs: Solid (this is one solid color for the whole text and it is the current behavior.)
In this case, please select Color Sequence.

  • Continue to add or remove the sequence of the color that you want.

  • Alternatively, you can select from a set of created color sequence (view option B) by clicking on From assets button

  • Once you have select a Color Sequence, or created your own, you can:
- add or delete a color
- change a color's position
- import colors from a Color category

Option B. Let buyers choose from multiple sequences

Here buyers pick from several color sequences you set up in advance.

Create your color sequences in Color categories

  • Go to Assets > Color category.
  • Group your categories into parent and sub-categories (the same way Clipart categories work).

  • Each sub-category becomes one selectable color sequence.

Set the Text layer to Color Sequence

  • Open the Text layer, go to the Font Color settings, and select Color Sequence (as shown in Option A).

Connect the sequences to the Color layer

Populate the color from a Color layer so buyers can switch between sequences.

  • Go to Artworks > your Color layer.
  • In the Color options, choose Color Sequence categories and select the parent Category you created.

  • On your Custom Text layer, please be sure to enable the setting Populate Color from another option and select your Color Layer

Please keep in mind that in case the text character exceeds the number of color sequence, it will loop back to the first color in your sequence.
