Reposition Cliparts, Vectors & Images

This Reposition feature lets customers freely move, resize, and rotate a clipart, vector, or static image within the design

Please continue reading this Article to see how you can set this up.

Creating Clipart & Image Layers with Reposition Feature

Before we begin, please note that this feature only works on Artwork 2.0 (learn more) and supports these layers: Clipart Category, Group of clipart categories, Vector Category, Static Image and Static Vector. It works the same way as Text Reposition.

Clipart Category / Group of clipart categories / Vector Category

  • Create a Clipart Category, Group of clipart categories or Vector Category layer like you usually do.
  • Inside PERSONALIZATION SETTINGS, below the default value, you will find this new setting Allow customers to reposition clipart (or Allow customers to reposition vector for a Vector Category layer):

Static Image / Static Vector

  • Add a Static Image or Static Vector layer like you usually do.
  • Inside PERSONALIZATION SETTINGS, turn on Allow customers to reposition image

By default, when enabling this feature, a "Reposition" button will show up next to the option - click on it will open a popup to move the layer (same as Text Reposition and Photo Reposition).

  • If you want to let customers reposition right on the gallery (no popup), you can go to Product Page Settings > Personalization Form, then turn on Enable Reposition on main gallery

By enabling this, Reposition on Gallery will be triggered when customers select an option of a reposition-enabled layer. However, this feature only works on desktop view. On mobile, customers still need to reposition the layer through the popup modal for better experience.

This setting used to be called Enable Text Reposition on main gallery. If you already turned it on for text, it stays on and now also applies to cliparts, vectors and static images.

Some Notes:

  1. The toggle is off by default, so your existing Campaigns don't change until you turn it on.
  2. If a layer has Linked Layers, repositioning the source layer applies the same change to all linked layers. Linked layers cannot be repositioned on their own.
  3. Global Options are not supported.
  4. Customers can resize the layer from 0.5x to 3x of its original size (aspect ratio is kept) and rotate it freely. The layer cannot be moved outside the design area.
  5. Photo Upload is not affected. It keeps the existing Photo Reposition

Creating the Campaign

Once you're happy with your settings, be sure to launch it to your Storefront!
