Comparison between Campaign by Product Base vs by Shopify/Etsy products

There are 2 ways to create a personalizable product (a campaign) with Teeinblue: Campaign by Product Base & Campaign by Shopify/Etsy products.

These 2 campaign types work separately and do not affect each other.

Similarities

Both types of campaign can:

Show the personalization form from Artworks and Mockups with a live preview on the storefront.
Generate order designs based on customers' selections.

Differences

Products

Campaign by Product Base	Campaign by Shopify/Etsy products
Use products created from Teeinblue Product Bases section → Once the Campaign is launched, it will create and link to a Shopify product.	Use existing Shopify/Etsy products → Import an existing product into Teeinblue and add personalization to it, without creating a new Shopify/Etsy product.
Manage variants in Product Base → Teeinblue overrides the product information in Shopify, such as inventory, price, etc.	Manage variants in Shopify/Etsy products admin → Product information, such as inventory, price, etc, remains managed in Shopify/Etsy.
Add multiple product bases to one Campaign.	Use only one Shopify/Etsy product per Campaign.
Can launch a Campaign to multiple stores.	A Campaign is fixed to a specific Shopify/Etsy product in one store.
May encounter API limits when launching or updating too many Campaigns within 24 hours.	No limit when creating/editing campaigns.

Orders

Order designs are generated based on Print Areas → The number and size of Print Areas determine the number and size of the generated order designs.	No Print Areas → Order designs are generated based on Artworks. The number and size of Artworks determine the number and size of the generated order designs.
Can send orders directly from Teeinblue to integrated print providers - instruction.	Need to use SKU Mapping to fulfill orders - instruction.

Both campaign types syncs the order design URLs to Shopify Orders. This means you can use 3rd-party apps to access the custom designs and fulfill orders.
